With olives & chorizo. One of your favourite Village Kitchen chicken dishes. Comes with dried prepacked rice. Gluten friendly. 

Rice: To a pot add rice & 375ml water, bring to boil. Cover tightly & reduce to lowest heat for 12mins. Stand covered 12mins. Fluff with fork.

Beef & prune tagine

Slow-braised beef in a rich, tagine sauce. Dried prepackaged quinoa/rice to accompany. 

Quinoa: Rinse under cold water. Bring 375ml well-seasoned water to the boil. Add quinoa, reduce to lowest heat, cover tightly & simmer til all water absorbed. Remove from heat, and stand covered 10mins. Fluff with fork. Optional: add chopped herbs, lemon zest, toasted slivered almonds.

Slow cooked beef, red wine & plenty of vegetables braised til melt-in-your-mouth tender. The perfect winter comfort dish.

A medium spiced vegetarian curry. Comes with uncooked long grain rice. Gluten friendly. Delicious with a dollop of unsweetened natural yoghurt.

Penne: Bring a pot of salted water to the boil with a glug of olive oil. Boil lid off til al dente (11mins).

I think you do a great job. I used to be a very loyal supporter of My Food Bag, but now I am working nearly full time, I struggle with all the prep that has to happen after school in between after school activities. I love that your meals arrive ready to pop into the oven and you are so consistent with your delivery times. I also love that your meals are nutritionally great – I see the extra veggies sneaked in there, but the kids either don’t notice or think it’s yummy anyway.
