Subscribe or place your casual order for your fresh delivered dinners for the week by 4.00pm on Sunday. Please note orders placed after that time will fall into the following week’s orders list. We are always happy to help out with last minute meal solutions from our freezer range. Check out our Shop range or give us a call to find out more.
We do not have a designated retail pick-up space away from our busy kitchen so we are a delivery-only service.
What we can guarantee is a reliable and efficient delivery solution. Our fixed price $3 delivery rate* is one of the very best in town, and it means no more rushing to pick up dinner – it is easily and efficiently delivered to your door each evening, just in time for dinner!
We place our own food ingredient orders once orders have processed each Sunday at 4pm. If you wish to pause your subscription for the coming week you will need to do that by 4.00pm on a Sunday. Simply go to your ACCOUNT and manage your weekly subscription in the SUBSCRIPTION tab. You can pause and reactivate here.
Just like pausing, this is really simple. You can resume your sub for the coming week any time before 4.00pm Sunday. To do this go to your ACCOUNT and manage your SUBSCRIPTION.
If you are a subscriber, your payment will be processed at 4.00pm each Sunday. If you order on a casual basis, payment will be processed at the time of placing your order.
There is no additional delivery charge if you add extras, such as frozen meals or other items from our pantry or seasonal range, to your subscription. We have a flat rate of $3 per day, per delivery address.
Our service doesn’t allow for specific delivery times just yet. Our daily delivery window is between 3.00pm and 7.00pm, and because most of our customers order night after night, our route varies little, & you’ll soon see a pattern around your time of delivery.
We encourage you to add special instructions to your order so our drivers know where to leave your meal if you are not going to be home. We strongly recommend that you leave a cooler bag out to have your order placed into. This will ensure your dinner is in the best possible condition for you to enjoy when you arrive home.
All city/office deliveries are made by 5.30pm, adding extra drivers as needed. You’ll soon come to see a pattern in the daily delivery time – most of our customers are regulars.
Very occasionally a weather or traffic event may disrupt delivery times, but we’ll always let you know if there’s an unexpected delay & will always do our best to get your dinner to you!
We love hearing feedback on where we should next grow our delivery zone. Remember, the more demand we have in any certain area, the more likely we are to deliver there – so get a bunch of friends & neighbours in on the daily delivered goodness, then get in touch with us.
Village Kitchen does not use retail outlets as pick-up locations. Our fantastic delivery team will get your delicious meals to your door each day between 3-7pm, so you don’t need to worry about rushing around town to collect anything.
We will arrange for our delivery team to deliver your frozen meals and other SHOP items on the day you select upon ordering (Monday to Friday). Please note, we are not able to offer same-day delivery with SHOP items, so be sure to place these orders at least a day in advance.
We offer three DIETARY TYPES and Regular is one of these. Our Regular meal option is our standard daily meal recipe. You will see in detail the Regular serve outlined as the featured meal type in next week’s menu.
Our Vegetarian & Paleo DIETARY TYPE options are variations of the Regular daily serve. We include a summary of these changes in the next week’s menu.

Our menus always offer a vegetarian and paleo options in our SINGLE & DOUBLE meals. This allows family members to eat the way they wish. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide customised options for specific allergy requirements as we are not set up to be a completely allergy-free kitchen. We have a number of customers unable to eat certain foods due to allergy & religious reasons. In these instances they adjust their order as needed for daily menus that don’t suit. Our meals are made in a kitchen where nuts and fish are present & some meals do contain these ingredients. It is important to be aware that all meals may contain traces of these.
We include ingredient summaries on Next Week’s Menu, and are always happy to discuss further any questions you might have.
Our founder has coeliac disease, and has a special interest in gluten free & paleo diets.
We accept that PALEO can mean different things to different people, but our paleo/gluten-free meals are completely: dairy free, refined sugar free, gluten free, grain free; chickpea, dried bean, and pulse free.
We choose to include fresh green beans, green peas, fresh sweetcorn, snow peas & sugar snaps in our paleo meals, as well as peanuts on occasion. Please bear this in mind before ordering paleo, as some may prefer to adhere to an even stricter form of the diet.
Please also bear in mind that while our paleo/gluten-free meals are prepared separately, gluten-containing grains and cereals are present in our kitchen. Should you have any hesitations around this, we would advise against ordering our paleo/gluten-free meals.
We do our very best to provide you with the vegetables or salad advertised on the menu, and stated on the label.
Recently we have experienced unseasonable weather: storms, warmer temperatures, rain deluges, etc. This means that occasionally the produce we require for your meal is not available to us. You’ll notice these availability fluctuations as you wander past the produce section in your local supermarket. Everyone in the industry is affected.
Our bags/labels are printed each Sunday night in preparation for the week ahead, which is why you may very occasionally see a discrepancy between what is stated on your label and the vegetable/salad you actually receive.
Please rest assured that we will do our very best to replace the advertised vegetable/salad of the day with a suitably delicious alternative. Curveballs can occasionally come at us at the last minute, and sometimes Mother Nature is a tricky force to reckon with!

Yes! Gift vouchers are perfect for celebrating or supporting family, friends & workmates. You can choose the amount you wish to gift using the 3 values of vouchers we offer. Your unique voucher codes will be emailed to you to for you to pass along; we do not send out a physical gift voucher. If you have any questions regarding gift vouchers, please contact our friendly customer service team. Please note, gift vouchers are available for use against casual orders and shop (i.e. non-subscription) items only.
Our SINGLE serve size is designed to satisfy one adult.
Our DOUBLE serve size is designed to satisfy two adults. With our double size we are able to pass on our saving in packaging costs, hence the price difference per portion. Just give us a call if you’d like to discuss.
Village Kitchen offers a subscription service for your fresh weekly meals. You can order from just one meal on one day per week, to as many meals on the days you need. Once you have set up your subscription, it will roll over every Sunday at 4.00pm. However by no means are you ‘locked in’. You have complete flexibility around your ordering requirements; you can simply add to, amend or pause your sub any time prior to 4.00pm on a Sunday should your weekly needs change. Village Kitchen’s black trays are ovenable, microwaveable & freezer-proof. These are the requirements that are important to you, our customers. They are 100% recyclable, so please rinse your meal tray well then pop straight into the recycling bin.
Our salad trays are made from sugarcane pulp, a rapidly renewable waste by-product from the sugar refining industry. The energy required to make sugarcane pulp is less than that needed for traditional wood-pulp. Choosing products made from plants, not petroleum, conserves oil resources and supports cleaner production while protecting our health. These products can be recycled in the mainstream paper recycling if not overly contaminated with food and can be composted in a commercial compost facility.

I think you do a great job. I used to be a very loyal supporter of My Food Bag, but now I am working nearly full time, I struggle with all the prep that has to happen after school in between after school activities. I love that your meals arrive ready to pop into the oven and you are so consistent with your delivery times. I also love that your meals are nutritionally great – I see the extra veggies sneaked in there, but the kids either don’t notice or think it’s yummy anyway.
We enjoyed all last week’s dinners, it’s a fabulous help to me, not only dreaming up what to have, preparation, all the shopping, but also the guilt of firing out the old veggies etc. from the fridge!!!!
