Cure Kids are New Zealand’s leading child health research charity. Since forming more than 45 years ago, Cure Kids have funded nearly $40 million in child health research, which has enabled vast improvements in child health – extending, improving and saving the lives of thousands of kids, both in New Zealand and around the world. Cure Kids have funded, or are currently funding, research investigating better treatments and cures for inherited heart conditions, cystic fibrosis, childhood cancers, sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI), stillbirth, burns, and child and adolescent mental health, among many others.
From every meal you buy, Village Kitchen puts $0.25c towards our Cure Kids support meal programme, which sends wholesome nourishing meals to families identified by Cure Kids family ambassador Tiff, who are in need of nourishment & practical support. At the end of a long day at the hospital, dinner can be last on the list of priorities, so these meals really do make a difference. THANK YOU!
WHY DOES VILLAGE KITCHEN SUPPORT CURE KIDS?
Rebecca, founder of Village Kitchen
Our three kids were a big part of my motivation for setting up Village Kitchen. It constantly struck me (it still does) how difficult I found cooking a nutritious delicious dinner every night while wrangling a baby, a toddler and a pre-schooler. I have always been a bit torn too, in that though it was tough, how very lucky I am to have three healthy children when there are so many others providing the same constant care and love, but with an unwell child in the mix.
Since our launch in 2015, we’ve been keeping a quiet eye out for great organisation to lend support to. Since July 2017, Village Kitchen is thrilled to have been partnered with Cure Kids, whose vital child health research aims to give every kid the healthy childhood they deserve. Not just our kids, every kid. The way it should be.
Free up your precious time, eat deliciously well, and support Cure Kids. Win, win, win!

Consciously sourced ingredients (free range etc) for healthy, delicious meals. Rebecca and her team are gems … working hard all day in the kitchen so we don’t have to! Love our delicious meals, best $ I’ve spent, affording me precious time that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Give VK a go, you won’t regret it!
Fabulous meals and service to boot…thanks for the experience…will be coming again.
I think you do a great job. I used to be a very loyal supporter of My Food Bag, but now I am working nearly full time, I struggle with all the prep that has to happen after school in between after school activities. I love that your meals arrive ready to pop into the oven and you are so consistent with your delivery times. I also love that your meals are nutritionally great – I see the extra veggies sneaked in there, but the kids either don’t notice or think it’s yummy anyway.
We enjoyed all last week’s dinners, it’s a fabulous help to me, not only dreaming up what to have, preparation, all the shopping, but also the guilt of firing out the old veggies etc. from the fridge!!!!
Ten gold stars for Wednesday and Thursday’s dinners last week. Melt in your mouth pork, tasty kumara and lots of greens!! Tasty lamb and mash and great greens!! Husband very pleased.
We also love your frozen meals – I normally try to ensure we have a couple in the freezer for those occasions when you just run out of time or can’t be bothered to cook
Village Kitchen has truly changed our lives, and in particular our evenings which are now stress-free and nutritious! As a busy family with parents both working full time and busy teenagers with school and sport it has made a huge difference to our lives, so thank you! The variety you serve is beyond what we could even imagine doing ourselves, and the fact you do paleo meals was the X factor that brought us to you.
